Dr Rafiq Muhammad completed his MD from Khyber Medical University, Pakistan, Masters in Healthcare Management (MIHMEP) from SDA Bocconi School of Management, Italy, and a PhD in Healthcare Data Sciences from Karolinska Institutet, where he worked on predictive modeling for patients with multiple chronic conditions. He is experienced in healthcare predictive analytics, public health interventions and disease surveillance, systematic literature reviews and scientific writing. He has delivered projects involving EHR data utilizing statistical analyses such as Statistical Process Control, pre-post analysis, difference-in-difference analysis and time series analysis. His PhD project aimed to develop a predictive decision support model for physicians to improve the management of clinical processes for patients with the multiple chronic condition of concurrent cardiovascular/chronic kidney diseases and diabetes by deploying machine learning algorithms.
